I don't have experience with either brand - ours is. Pergo (the traditional pergo.they now have Pergo XP, etc) has been known to swell and then disintegrate in the presence of moisture (animal urine, dog's water bowls, steam from dishwashers, wet shoes, leaking fridge/sink/anything with water, etc). In the last few years we've seen an evolution of luxury vinyl flooring as more and more manufacturers have started producing rigid core vinyl planks and tiles that not only look great but are super durable.
